On the numerical algorithm for isotropic–kinematic hardening with the Armstrong–Frederick evolution of the back stress

چکیده
The algorithmic consistency conditions are derived which yield the plastic loading index for the combined isotropic– kinematic hardening plasticity with the Armstrong–Frederick evolution equation for the back stress. Rate-independent elastic–plastic, and rate-dependent viscoelastic–plastic and elastic–viscoplastic material models are all encompassed by the analysis. The directions of the plastic and viscoplastic increments of strain are determined from a developed numerical algorithm, in conjunction with the radial return method. Numerical evaluations are presented to compare the predictions of various models under cyclic loading in simple shear. The effects of different material parameters on stress response are discussed. 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.

Numerical and Experimental Study on Ratcheting Behavior of Plates with Circular Cutouts under Cyclic Axial Loading
In this paper, accumulation of plastic deformation of AISI 1045 steel plates with circular cutouts under cyclic axial loading is studied. Loading was applied under force-control conditions. Experimental tests were performed using a Zwick/Roell servo hydraulic machine. Under force-control loading with nonzero mean force, plastic strain was accumulated in continuous cycles called ratcheting. Nume...
متن کاملA Constitutive Model for Sands
In this paper, an elastoplastic constitutive model is presented for predicting sandy soil behavior under monotonic and cyclic loadings. The model is based on the CJS3 model that takes into account deviatoric and isotropic mechanisms of plasticity. The flow rule in deviatoric mechanism is non-associated and a kinematic hardening law controls the evolution of the yield surface. In the present s...

متن کاملU-Bending Analysis with an Emphasis on Influence of Hardening Models
In this paper the effect of different hardening models in simulating the U-bending process for AA5754-O and DP-Steel, taking a benchmark of NUMISHEET 93 2-D draw bending, has been discussed. The hardening models considered in simulations are: isotropic hardening, pure (linear) kinematic hardening and combined (nonlinear kinematic) hardening. The influence of hardening models on predicting sprin...
متن کاملStress Integration of the Drucker–prager Material Model with Kinematic Hardening
This paper presents a method for implicit stress integration of the Drucker–Prager material model with kinematic hardening. The stress integration of the material model is conducted using the incremental plasticity method, while the kinematic hardening of material is defined using nonlinear Armstrong–Frederick hardening. This type of granular material hardening occurs as a consequence of the cy...
